Velinda D. Alexander, M.S. is a dedicated business professional, certified professional coach, facilitator and a natural born leader! Guided by her instinctive passion for people, Velinda has over twenty (20) years of experience in education, social services, program development and management. In 2002, she became the Founder/Executive Director of True To Life Foundation, a community based nonprofit organization built on the principle of celebrating life and encouraging growth of inner city families.

A recognized leader, known for crafting the importance balance between effective business development and positive business outcomes, Velinda D. Alexander offers a blend of strong business acumen, exceptional team building skills combined with an overall solutions oriented mind set. The development of these skills can be accredited to a solid formal education, strong background in operations management and a defining experience in the social services nonprofit industry. Velinda has received a B.S. in Education from Eastern Illinois University and a M.S. in Non Profit Management from Spertus Institute.

Velinda approaches business leadership challenge with innovation, creative problem-solving, and measured risk-taking to drive consistent results. Velinda is a fourth generation entrepreneur with a proven track record of organizational management savvy honed after years growing up and working within her family business, where Velinda spent much of her childhood.

Velinda continues to lead True To Life Foundation as it strives to provide and advocate for the safety, education and development of children and families. After nearly twenty years of corporate and private business experience, Velinda acknowledged that in order to fulfill her career journey she needed to inspire future leaders.

Today, she is successfully navigating the world of nonprofit leadership. She recently founded and operates Back Office Inc. which allows her to consult/coach new entrepreneurs in the areas of business management, nonprofit leadership, operations strategy, and project planning & implementation.
