Rochelle Borrett

Rochelle Borrett

Rochelle is primarily a mosaic artist lurking in Chicago and is currently living the life of an artist, albeit a somewhat schizophrenic one: her personal work focuses on the very small, whereas her public and community art is very large. After receiving degrees in the Fine Arts (Trinity University), Education (Corpus Christi State University and Northwestern University), Rochelle spent a number of years bouncing around the globe and picking up odd bits of education and experience along the way. Rochelle spent 12 years along the Mexican border designing and fabricating tombstones, which garnered her the unique skills of driving forklifts and operating 2-ton over-head cranes. She has participated in many exhibitions and has works in national and international collections. Rochelle has taught art in public schools from the south coast of Texas to Chicago. She was a faculty member at the Chicago Mosaic School before joining ArtReach.
